Senior Programmer                                                                                

Reports to:

Project Manager, Project Leader or Senior Systems Analyst

Primary Objectives:

Write, test, update and maintain complex computer programs according to systems or application specifications.

Main Accountabilities:

• Analyse problems specified by systems analysts.
• Supervise and undertake major programming assignments entailing design, coding and testing.
• Install programs on the appropriate systems.
• Evaluate new programming techniques and recommend their use.

Matching Indicators:

Tertiary qualification and up to five years programming experience.
