Industrial Relations Specialist
Reports to:
Site Industrial Relations Manager, Senior Manufacturing Manager, Division Executive or Human Resource Manager
Primary Objectives:
Advise plant supervisory staff on award interpretation and industrial authority decisions and assist line management to resolve conflicts as they arise.
Main Accountabilities:
- Advise managers on the handling of disputes and grievances.
- Prepare briefs for arbitration cases and assist in drawing up proposed award provisions and clauses.
- May assist with induction of new employees.
- Advise executives of impending industrial action, its extent and ramifications.
Matching Indicators:
Degree or Certificate and at least three years IR experience.
