Senior Accounts Clerk
Reports to:
Senior Accountant / Office Manager or Supervisor
Primary Objectives:
Perform routine administrative and accounting tasks and may supervise junior accountants and clerical staff.
Main Accountabilities:
- Accounts Payable – receive invoices, check and confirm liability for payment, and obtain authorisation to pay.
- Accounts receivable – Assist in the preparation of debtors lists and prepare standard reports.
- Payroll – Prepare payroll schedules and returns, arrange payroll deductions.
- General – Data entry and general banking and reconciliation tasks as directed.
- Supervision of staff may be required.
Matching Indicators:
At least five years in accounting support functions, with some experience as a team leader being desirable.
